Understanding Early Pregnancy Loss: What to Expect After Bleeding

on the tuesday i found out i was pregnant after doing many home tests.i would have been only 4 weeks.on the friday i started bleeding, a bit like a period but only lasted 2 days.the doctor suggested staying in bed which i did and on return to the doctors the following wednesday (xmas was in between and they were closed!)he said i needed a scan to see what was happening.they cant scan me til 6wks which is wednesday coming.i did another test which showed negitive-whats happening?is all lost?

It is possible you miscarried.  Normally there is cramping and back pain involved with miscarriages from the contraction that are expelling the fetus but if it was this early in the pregnancy it could have had no pain.  It is also possible that it was actually a normal period.  Some women have their periods the first 3 months of pregnancy.
