Concerned About Mild Abdominal Impact During Pregnancy - Is Baby Safe?

I am 27 weeks pregnant and my husband was playing with his nephew and as I walked by husband swung out his arm and accidently hit me in the stomach. It wasn't real hard but it hurt a little. It was towards my left side.  Will that injure the baby or should everything be fine? It was w the back of his hand.

It should be fine. The baby actually has a tremendous amount of protection in utero. It would take a pretty big force to cause trauma to the baby. If you continue to have any discomfort, let your doctor know about it at your next OB visit, otherwise you can use it as a standing joke in years to come that every time little one does something wrong - it's his/her dad's fault for the knock on the head before birth.  :-)  Believe me - those things that always create laughter or a smile will be priceless 20 years from now.
