Irregular Periods & Potential Pregnancy After Tubal Ligation: Causes & What To Do

I am 35 years old and I have had 3 children. I had 2 periods in January. January 3-6 and then again January 27-31. I have not had a period at all in February but I had all of the signs of my period coming from the breast tenderness to the bloating. The breast tenderness has passed but I still have not had a period. Is there a chance that I could possibly be pregnant. I had a tubal ligation in 1997 and I know its possible to have a tibal pregnancy but I don't have any signs of being pregnant. Is it possible to miss a period since I had 2 in one month?

If you had a tubal ligation in 1997, then you cannot become pregnant (either in your tubes or in your uterus). You appear to have not missed any periods and did not have two in one month. A period started on January 3 and then started on January 27, which is a normal cycle of 24 days. A cycle is considered normal if it is 21-35 days from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period. If you do not get your period by March 2, take a pregnancy test.
