Possible Pregnancy After Tubal Ligation: Symptoms & What to Do

im 28, with 2 kids. i had a tubaligation feb, 1998.  im not for sure did he burn and clip them but i know i had them tied. my last period was april 20th i think.  i didnt get one in may and now its june.  i took one pregnancy test and it came out negattive.  i have more that enough reasons to think that i am.  i have gained a little weight and my stomach has gotten somethat harder.  ive read that some weight gain can cause a missed period.  im over weight but never missed a period. and if im pregnant in my tubes would i know it by now.  please help me.

If you had a negagive pregnancy test in June, you are definitely not pregnant in your uterus or in your tubes. It is highly unlikely that you would have become pregnant if you had a tubal ligation unless then made a serious mistake during the procedure. If you have any doubts or any pains on one side of the abdomine or the other, take a sonogram to see what is going on inside your abdomen. You can also take a blood test for pregnancy to be sure.
