Pregnancy Symptoms: When Do They Subside? (6-7 Week Update)
QuestionIs it too early to have my pregnancy symptoms start to vanish? At 6 weeks along, I started to get morning sickness...and that lasted up until about a week ago, where it now just comes and goes (more 'going' than 'coming'). I notice I get an upset tummy whenever I don't eat for a while, but once I eat, it vanishes. And if I eat too much, I get indigestion. My breasts are still tender, but the vanishing of the morning sickness scares me a little. I've seen the baby and the heartbeat 3 times already, including just over a week ago where the baby was measuring on target for length and gestation, and had a heartbeat of 154 beats per minute. Am I being silly in worrying? Many of my friends get morning sickness around 6 weeks, but theirs lasts into their 2nd trimester. How come mine faded so quickly?
AnswerAlthough morning sickness can remain a problem until 15 weeks of pregnancy, it is quite common for some women not to have nausea or vomiting all the time. As long as you have not had any bleeding and the sonogram shows a baby that is growing adeuately with a good fetal heartbeat, you should not worry.
