QuestionI am 21 years old and have been on the pill for 3 years. I usually start my cycle 2-3 days after I finish the last active pill in my pack. It has been 5 days and I have started spotting, along with brownish discharge. I did not miss a pill this month and since on the pill this has never occured. My period began last month on 9/6/05. Could this be a sign of pregnancy?
AnswerAs long as you have not missed any pills, you are not pregnant. Since you have, indeed, started spotting, it sounds like all is well. Sometimes, when on the pill, you may even miss bleeding entirely for one month. Don't worry. Just continue taking all the pills on time. The signs of pregnancy are missing of a period, nausea, fatigue, and breast tenderness. You have not missed any periods.
