Early Pregnancy Symptoms: Am I Pregnant Before My Period?

Question
I have yet to actually miss my period but I am experencing a lot of symptoms for pregnancy. Im not supposed to start for at least another week.  Am I just parinoid, or can I be pregnant? Thank you in advance,
Megan

Answer
The earliest symptoms of pregnancy are breast tenderness, fatigue, and nausea. There is no way to know if you are pregnant or not until you take a pregnancy test. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period. If you get your period, you are not pregnant. If you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. You can ONLY become pregnant if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. If you had unprotected sex on one or those days, you could have conceived. If you do not get your period when you expect it, wait an additional week and take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure.
