I started birth control on 10/7/05 day of LMP normal cycle length 7 (10/13) days stopped pill on 10/12/05 due to nausea and discontinued use of pill spotted 2 days at end of cycle 10/14 and 10/15 no blood 10/16 bled 10/17 through 10/20 cycle length is usually 29 days and have not yet started period had unprotected sex and would like to know if pregnacy is even an issue or is my cycle now just messed up.
AnswerIf you started birth control pills on October 7, and then stopped 6 days later, you would have started bleeding a few days later due to stoppage of the pill. Since you were only on the pill for 6 days, you could have ovulated around October 20 and could have conceived if you had unprotected sex on October 19,20,21, or 22. If you do not get your period by November 11, take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure. If you would like to start the pills again, take them with food (apple sauce, pudding, etc) and you should avoid the nausea. The nausea should disappear within three months of pill use. Give it another chance.
