AnswerYou did not give me much of a history. If you have a 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation usually occurs on cycle day #14. You can only become pregnant if you have sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. However, if you have a longer or shorter cycle, ovulation may occur on a different day. You may wish to purchase an ovulation predictor kit to help pinpoint the exact day of ovulation. If, after a full 12 months of trying, you still have not conceived, an infertility workup can be started. This checks whether you are, indeed, ovulating, whether your tubes are patent, if you have an adequate luteal phase of your cycle, if your progesterone is adequate, semenanalysis, etc. If you have been to several doctors and nothing is found out of sorts, just relax and keep trying.
