QuestionYes, I;m currently on my 30 th week of pregnacy.
I have only received two ultrasonds. The last one which checked to see if everything was fine with the fetus including organ formation. Everything was fine but since then I have not received anymore ultrasounds on my visits.
I am also worried baby is not growing so fast because everyone tells e I'm small for 7 months
but last check up the obgyn told me verything was right on schedule , fundal height was fine, but I keep telling everyone that before becoming pregnant I was rather skinny and had a six pack.
Is this the reason why im not as big as some women. I have noticed a rather drastic change in abdomen size but people still keep telling me I'm small for the weeks I have.
You I ask for "demand " another ultrasound? or am I ok?
and should I go to ER if I feel belly siz is small since my next visit is on december 7?
thanks
AnswerAfter 20weeks gestation, a sonogram is not accurage for determination of how far pregnant you are. As you get closer and closer to term, a sonogram is less and less accurate. A sonogram helps to check the position of the baby and the position of the placenta, but does not help IN ANY WAY to tell how far pregnant you are after 20 weeks gestation. If your doctor believes that you have adequate growth and your fundal height agrees with the number of weeks you are, there is nothing to worry about.
