QuestionHi there, The amount of info you have been providing is fantastic.
I'm 32, with no kids, LMP was 3rd Oct but I have a long and irregular cycle (ranges 35 to 45 days). Conception could have only been on the 1st or 9th of Nov which would make me at least 7 - 8 wks pregnant by now. I went for my 1st ultrasound and they told me I was only 5 weeks and 5 days (22nd Dec) - there was a fetal pole and the heart beat was 87bpm.
I know I will have to wait until my next ultrasound (in 2 wks) to check for development, but I cant help but feel pessimistic about the pregnancy as the dates dont match to conception.
Any thoughts if this will work out?
Thanks heaps
AnswerIf a sonogram on December 22 showed that you were 5 weeks 5 days pregnant, then your last period would have been November 11 and you would have ovulated on November 24 and could have conceived if you had sex on November 23,24,25, or 26. If you are sure that you could not have conceived any day other than the first or ninth of November, you will have to wait for the next sonogram to see if there is adequate growth.
