Pregnancy Conception Date: Calculating Your Due Date

"My baby was born October 4th 2008. When i found out i was pregnant my doctor told me my conception date was on January 9th 2008 the first day of my last period was December 26 2007, but i did not have sex on january 9th i was with my partner january 5th thru 6th and the again january 11th thru 13th so when did i possibly get pregnant the first due date he gave me was october 3rd then he changed it to october 1st"

Your conception date just like your due date are only estimates. These dates would be correct if you actually made regualr periods every 28-30 days and you ovulate on day 14. That doesn't usually happen. Don't forget that sperm can actually survive for 3 days inside you. You could have conceived anywhere from Jan 2 until Jan 10. I hope this helps! Congratulations!
