Understanding Post-Orgasm Discharge and Semen Leakage: A Comprehensive Guide
QuestionI have two questions.
After I have an orgasm the next day my discharge/female ejaculation will be mucusy with blood in it. Why does this happen.
My second question is after sex with my husband it seems like his semen slips out of my vagina immediatly after intercourse. Is this normal? We are not trying to concieve at this time but if we were it seems problimatic.
AnswerWhen you have intercourse, and your husband ejaculates, the semen enters the vagina. The cervical mucus filters out the sperm and the sperm (without the semen) travels up the fallopian tubes and can fertilize a waiting ovum. The rest of the semen (without the sperm) drips back out of the vagina. This is normal. I do not have an explanation of your vaginal secretions the day after having an orgasm. I doubt that the orgasm has anything to do with the bloody discharge that you have the next day. If it continues, have your gynecologist check it out when you notice it.
