Headaches After Orgasm: Causes, Relief & When to See a Doctor

I am 19 years old.  I have not had any children or pregnancies.  I am still a virgin.  My boyfriend stimulates my clitorus at times but he has never penetrated me.  My last period was February 25.  Two months ago, my boyfriend was stimulating me and when I orgasmed, I had a very painful headache.  It was a pounding feeling all in the back of my skull and by my temples.  It was so painful I had to go to the hospital.  It went away after several hours, but ever since then I've been afraid to do that again.  Do you have any advice?

You have to see whether the headache was a normal headache or whether you have started to get migraine headaches. Try taking some Tylenol prior to fooling around or getting sexual stimulation. Drink plenty of fluids. If you again get a severe headache, you will have to have a workup by your medical doctor to rule out migraine. If it is a migraine, there are medications that will help.
