Pregnancy After D&C: When Can You Test? Symptoms & Concerns

I had to have a DNC on Feb,1,2006.  I was only 10wks pregnant but there was no fetal heart beat .  My DNC went very smoothly my Dr. was excellent, however my husband and I resumed sexual activities after 4days, I am aware that I  should not of have due to a the risk of infection. well now my feelings of nauseau, breast tenderness and dizziness have returned.  I am a little to embarrassed to explain this to my doctor.  How can I find out if I am pregnant again or if my symptoms are residual of my last pregnancy?

It is possible to get pregnant after a Dilation and Curettage (D & C) .
If your symptoms went away from the prior pregnancy, it is less likely that they would return 7 weeks later.
Take an over-the-counter pregnancy test and speak to your doctor. I'm sure he/she is aware that many couples resume intercourse before they are technically supposed to.
You won't be able to date this pregnancy until you get a sonogram- at about 5-6 weeks.
