Restarting Your Birth Control Pill Pack: What You Need to Know

Hello. I am 20 years old and I have been taking birth control to regulate my period.  I skipped a month of pills because I did not get the prescription in time to take them.  My period has not come.  Can I start a new pack even though I am not on my period? Do you have to start the pill pack when you are still on you period? Thanks

You should start a new pack of birth control pills on the Sunday following the start of your period. If you have not had a period, you will have to ask your doctor to give you Provera 10mg twice a day for five days and you should get your period within 10 days. Then, once you start your period, wait for the following Sunday and start the new pack of pills.
