Fertility Timing: Understanding Ovulation & Conception

Me and my fiance want to start a family..We have been trying for a few months now with no sucess.. I am unaware on how to know when I ovulate.What is the easiest way to know when I should try again I started my period today when should we try again((mostlikely time(ovulation)to concieve)) my normal cycle runs for about 4-5 days..
Please help us start our family!

Usually, you can expect to ovulate between day 12-16 of your cycle (day 1 being the first day of your period).  However, everyone is different.  You should have intercourse every or every other day between days 10-20.  If you really want to be sure when you ovulate, go to the store and by an ovulation test kit.  That will let you know when you are ovulating.  Good luck!
