Question
My doctor told me I was due sept 19 2006 and today while ata a ppt she told me she didnt wnat em to have my csection done sept 8 because My sons lungs were fully developed? What would be going on? Its scaring em to death.

Answer
Hi Amanda,

Baby's lungs aren't fully mature until at least the 37th weeks of pregnancy.  It isn't anything to worry about at all.  This is completely normal.  It is better to wait until closer to your due date to deliver your baby (especially because little boys tend to be a little "wimpy" in the breathing department if they are less than 37-38 weeks).  So, rest assured...everything is fine!  Good luck and congratulations!
