QuestionI was told I have mild asthma and was given 2 different kinds
of inhalers. Symbicort and Spiviria.
My question is what other types of medicine are equal to them
and cheaper in price.
Right now I am paying $30 a month for each one and still have insurance. I'd like to be able to get them at Wal-Mart for $4
but don't think that can happen.
Thanks
Debbie
AnswerThere aren't good long term maintenance medicines for asthma that are really cheap.... advair or symbicort are the cornerstones but both kinda pricey. Spiriva helps also.... but that would be the first one I would try without if money is tight, but for someone who needs their albuterol more than twice a week, they should be on an inhaled steroid like advair/symbicort.
Another option would be to price some of the other inhaled steroids, they might be cheaper... like azmacort.
good luck with it.....
