Questionhi
i was hoping you could help me. i have done some pregnany test,
at doctors and at home and i keep getting different results. i have
done about 10 test and 4 came out positive and four negative. i am
very confused. have you heard this before? i have a tumor on my
cervix which is benign and was wondering if this might effect the
results of the test?
AnswerHi Barbara,
It is extremely unlikely that you would get a false positive reading. It is more likely to get a false negative. Are you reading the test within 3 minutes? If you read it after 5-10 minutes, you may get a false positive. Otherwise, the only thing I can tell you is to have your doctor send you for some bloodwork to confirm pregnancy. That is the only sure way to know. I don't think that the tumor would effect the results. Good luck!
