The very first period after delivery is never "normal" and very often it is either heavy or prolonged. With this month being the 3rd period, it really should not last that long, especially with you being on the BCP.
I would definitely recommend that you contact your doctor and let him/her know that you are having this very long period. It sounds like the dosage of your pills or the pill itself may need to be changed.
