Prolonged Period Concerns: Understanding Potential Causes & When to Seek Gynecological Advice

I have had my period for about month and half now.  i have this fear that there something serious wrong with me. and i can not get enough confidence and go to the Gynecology and make thing worst i never been to Gynecology before.  have history of blood disorder (TTP) i have had this for 5 years now. and i have heard that long period can be cause of blood disorder and i have notice some change but not like this only been once before that i had long period i had my blood check for TTP and not relapse again.  i just now sure if i can handle another serious health problem again and i know if get earlier can make the diff. i really learn that from TTP.  so scared

With your medical history, you MUST go to the doctor. You really actually answered your own question! You already knew that you needed to go and all the reasons why. I don't even need to go through them with you.

SO many women put off going to their doctor because they are afraid of hearing something "bad". The problem with this is -- if women would just go at the first signal of trouble, so very many "bad" things could be averted!! Instead, they wait and wait and by the time they go in, the "bad" can't be fixed.

PLEASE don't put yourself in that position. Be a strong, pro-active woman who takes control of her life and well-being. Go to the doctor for an exam and thorough evaluation.
