QuestionMy breast had been hurting a lot and I was worried if I was pregnant, I had my first period 19 days after I had sex and I just recently had my second period,I have gained a little weight, but I haven't had any symptoms, could I still be pregnant?
AnswerHello Tasha from Canada,
If you had a period that was a normal period, then it is unlikely that you are pregnant. The breast tenderness is influenced by hormones and there are many other causes of tenderness besides pregnancy. Some women experience tenderness with ovulation and others with their periods because of the hormonal changes occurring at that time. If think you might be pregnant, the easiest way to find out is to do a pregnancy test. Considering that you just started menstruating, you sound too young to be having sex. If you are going to have sex, then you should consider some type of contraception so that you don't get pregnant. I would also advise that you use condoms so that you don't get a sexually transmitted disease like HPV (that can lead to cancer# or Chlamydia #that can make you infertile). There are many many more.
