QuestionHello. I have just had my third c-section on July 30, and with each I have had a lump...the way the tummy slightly bulges above the scar line. I am 15 pounds away from being at my pre-pregnancy weight (thank you breast feeding!) I would like to have tips on work outs that can help with the lump; maybe something that all the kids and I can do together. My childrens ages are 4, 3 and now 6 weeks.
Thanks for your response. exersice

AnswerThis is a common post "C" problem. For most women, the overhang will slowly decrease with time. You can speed things along with scar mobilization message, which can be started after your incision has completed healed, generally 4 to 6 weeks after delivery.
Start with gentle massage along the scar. With a small amount of oil or Aloe Vera on your fingers, place one hand on one end of the scar to stabilize that end, and gently massage along the length of the scar. Try to gently stretch your scar. You should feel a slight tugging, but not pain. Massage in one direction 10 times, then switch sides.
Using the same stabilization of one end technique, you can also massage gently across the scar, using small up and down movements of your finger tips as your work you way along the length of the scar. Again, 10 times in one direction, then switch sides.
