Answer
As long as your postpartum bleeding does not increase, then fitness walking will be healthy. Walking increases blood flow which speeds healing, boosts mood, increases energy levels and improves sleeping patterns.

To compliment fitness walking, start postpartum core exercises. These types of exercises will rehab your abdominal wall so that they can adequately support your pelvis and spine, flatten your abs and restore good posture.

Most women don't realize that crunches, and other types of traditional abdominal exercises don't flatten the abdominal wall, and are not effective for core strength and stabilization.

As to the resumption of sexual relations, once bleeding has stopped, then you're good to go, on the physical end. But both and you and your partner should feel psychologically ready to resume intimacy, and there can be a broad range here, so follow your instincts.
