QuestionHi. Ok I used an Answer Early Response test on Monday and it came out really positive, very dark line. The thing is, it was 3 days early and with my other three boys I tested negative until the day after I was due then tested with a light line, all using First Response.
Now, I feel almost silly asking, but a friend of mine said it is a sign it may be twins? I am 34 now so my age is a factor I suppose. I see where you have had twins before, did you test earlier with them? Is that a real possibility? Oh and also, since the Saturday before I tested I have been extremely tired, I mean really, falling asleep 3 or more times a day like there was no choice and still sleeping all night. I am nervous because my 34 yr old cousin just had twins after having 3 children. And I know you cannot tell me for certain, only my Dr can do that eventually, but if you could just answer about the sleeping and early testing being signs or not. Thank you for your time.

This is a great question. You are very in tune with your body. Keep in mind that tests are made more and more sensitive now days compared to just a few years ago. It is possible that with twins you may test positive earlier. Your levels are going to be higher, so you may be positive a day or two earlier. Also, there is a high percentage of pregnancies that start off as twins, and the second one doesn't implant properly and ends up being absorbed. Hope this helps. Good luck!
