Im 21 yrs old. No children. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. My question I was wondering about prenatal paternity Testing. I know you can do CVS AND AMNIOCENTESIS but reading online I came across this NON INVASIVE PRENATAL PATERNITY TEST. where fetal cells ar taken for the mothers blood. I know this is more popular in canada, I am here in Texas. anyway I wa wondering if you knew anything about this. or if this was a scam or really legitamite. thanks for your help.

Paternity testing can be done by scraping some tissue from the inside of the mouth of the suspected father and from the mother, but, in order to obtain any DNA sample from the fetus, one must perform an amniocentesis or merely wait until the baby is born for paternity testing.
