QuestionBismillahir Rehmanir Raheem...
Assalamualakum Warahamatullahi Wabarakatuhu,
Dearest Expert I would greatly appreciate your advice and opinion on my situation.
I was rushed to the emergency room when I started having fresh red vaginal bleeding (with no pain). This was my first doctor's visit since I learned I was pregnant (I took a home test to determine whether I was pregnant). After conducting ultrasounds (abdominal and vaginal), blood tests and urinanalysis I was told that I was roughly 6 weeks 2 days pregnant. In the ultrasound they were able to see the gestational sac but it was irregular. The fetal pole was small for it's gestational age and there was no heartbeat. Likewise, they also saw a small subchroionic heat.
Right now (three days later) I am bleeding dark brown blood but do not have any other major cramps or pain. The bleeding is also not very heavy. Likewise, these are my period days and during last month around this time, I also bled for a day. I was wondering if there is any chance that the pregnancy will continue? I have another ultrasound scheduled in four days for peace of mind. Regardless, I would appreciate your advice and opinion.
AnswerDear Zainab
It is hard to give a firm opinion about your situation. However, it seems that abortion is a high possibility. It is important to be aware that 15% of women have at least 1 abortion in their lifetime and this, by no means, have any effect on their future reproductive performance. in fact, most of these 15% of abortuses are chromosomally abnormal and this is one side to show how we should be grateful to Allah.
I do hope that these info are helpful and wish u a happy life.
