QuestionMy lmp was 1/10/10, however I think I ovulate late. I had brown discharge
after sex so had vag us and we could only see the ges sac. At this point I
was 5 wks 6 days based on lmp. I have to have another in 10 days. I've
had a couple of tiny spots of brown after the internal and some back but
no real cramps. I now am so worried I cannot function and don't know
how I'll be able to wait 10 days. I also feel less pregnant, less urination
and bb less sore but I wonder if this is because I am thinking about it so
much. Am I right in expecting the worse or is it plausible that the egg yolk
and embryo would not show by then? Thank you for your patience with

You say by your period you were 5 weeks and 6 days. Did the gestational sac reveal the same dates? Based on the information you have given me at this early stage it is normal to only see the sac on ultrasound. Unfortunately, you will find out much more information on your follow up appointment. I can only imagine how hard it is to wait and not know, but try to keep yourself positive. If you are spotting however even if it is brown in color and/or experiencing pain do not wait. Call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital to get evaluated again.
