AnswerAt 8 weeks post C, your stitches have completely healed, so you can start post natal abdominal conditioning. Start by building strength in your deepest ab muscle, your Transverse Abdominis, then progress to exercises that flex the lower spine.
Don't start with crunches, Pilates, or any exercise that lifts/rolls the upper body off the floor, or against the force of gravity.
If you experience any discomfort around your scar, start gentle massage around the area to loosen adhesions. Pain around the scar area is common and almost always caused by adhesions.
Even though you've had a C, you still might need to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, so start doing Kegels daily.
As to sex, at 8 weeks post C, you're good to go there too.
