QuestionI had my lmp on 06/05/2009. On 07/02 I took a home pregnancy test and it didn't show any results. I took another home pregnancy test on about 07/15 and again no results at all. Then on 07/17 I took another home pregnancy test because I still hadn't had my period and both test came back positive. Based on my lmp I should be 10wk/5dys today. However, I had an ultrasound today and they say all they see is the gestational sac and they estimate my pregnancy to be only 5wk/1dy old. My doctor also had me do 2 sets of blood work last week and it came back that I was pregnant. My question is, "does this mean the fetus is not developing or could it be possible that I am only 5wks pregnant regardless of the fact that I haven't had a period in over 2 months?" Please help, I had a miscarriage in 05/2009 and I am a little nervous about this pregnancy.

Your doctor should arrange for a second ultrasound based on your dates, showing 5 weeks is very far behind. Could their dates be right, putting aside the first missed period (fitting in with sexual activity)?
I cant possibley give you an accurate answer, and nor could any one else at least not without a second set of results. The doctor could also do hCG blood tests to make sure it is increasing according to the norm, and not to fast or not showing any decreases.
