Managing Peri-Menopause Symptoms: A Personal Success Story
QuestionHi Cathy,
I am 49 and have been going through peri-menopause for about a year. Typical heavy bleeding/clots etc. The heavy bleeding and clots stopped in June, when I took the adivce of a Dr. at Allexperts.com and started taking B Complex (he told me B-50) and Omega 3's each day. I thought maybe it was just good timing and I was going to stop doing that anyway- but then a friend called me and said she had started doing the Peri-Menopause thing too, and what did I suggest for the heavy bleeding and clots. I told her what the Dr. here told me and she tried it, then called me about 3 days later saying it was a miracle. Have you heard of doing this before? Also, I can't find that Dr. anymore, but I have now located B-50's, but I need to know if it's OK to take the time release kind? Do you happen to know? Thanks so much for your time! :) P.S. if you are curious, I haven't had a heavy period like before since June, and really it seems like they are stopping altogether- so now the being tired is setting in. YUCK.
AnswerThis is a new one for me, but if it works, I say don't fix it. Try the time-released kind and see how it compares. The best way to keep your energy from dipping is the proper diet. Try to eliminate sugar and caffeine as much as possible. Get daily exercise, doesn't have to be intense.
