Understanding High Bilirubin Levels: What Do They Mean?

Just recently had some blood test done. My lab results indicates that I have an HIGH Level of the Bilirubin {H 1.4} Should I be concern far as Liver desease

Hi Darrel.  The level of your total bilirubin was only slightly high, the normal range is approximately 0.0 - 1.0.  In most liver disease, other liver enzymes (such as AST and ALT) are also increased.  Were all of your other liver enzymes normal?  If so, possibly your bilirubin level isn't of any clinical significance, and can just be monitored.  Check with your doctor.
