Understanding Your Elevated Glucose Level: What Does It Mean?

Lab results state that my Glucose, serum is 107 H mg/dl. The limits on this test are 65-99. Is this high? Does this possibly indicate diabetes?

Hi Joshua.  A normal range for glucose can vary from laboratory to laboratory, but generally is around 70-110.  Your lab's reference range of 65-99 seems low, but either way your result is probably normal.  Do you have any symptoms?  Was this blood test a fasting (of at least 10-12 hours) test?  The most accurate measure of blod sugar is a fasting glucose.  This will accurately tell the doctor if you could have diabetes.
