Hi Joseph.  Actually the important part of this urine test that was ordered for you is the microalbumin.  Microalbumin is a sensitive test to detect the smallest amounts of protein in your urine.  This test is the best one to detect early stages of kidney damage and/or disease.  Your microalbumin level is actually excellent at 4.1 (normal is approximately <25 mg/dL).  The microalbumin/creatinine ratio is just a calculation based on the values of your creatinine and microalbumin.
