Understanding Brown, Pink & Red Spotting After Myomectomy & Fertility

Question
I am 37 no children yet.  I had a myomectomy Jan 2008 for uterine fibroids.  I have 2 small ones that have returned.  I have well controlled hypothyroidism.  My husband and I have been TTC for 1 1/2 year.  I was on clomid for 2 months.  Off this cycle. (My husband had surgery.)  I have always had a 28 day heavy cycle.  Clomid made it go to 30 days.  I ovulated on 3-27.  We had sex 5 days before and during ovulation.  30 day cycle would have been April 14.  On 4-11 I started spotting brown, then pink extremely, extremely light. It lasted until 4-14 then very light red flow (panty liner was enough). Ended on 4-15.  Was this my period?  I have taken 2 pregnancy tests (last one this morning - first thing) all negative.  Can you tell me if this was my period or is something else wrong with me.  I want to be pregnant so badly.
Thank you for your answer.

Answer
Hello Becky,

It sounds like that was your period.  My recommendation, because of your age, is to see a fertility specialist ASAP.  Stop wasting time!  You may end up waiting too long and losing the chance to get pregnant with your own eggs.  At 37, your natural chances of pregnancy are only 15% per year or 5% per month.  Even with IUI the chances are only 12% per month.  With IVF it would be 50% per attempt.  These number decrease every year.  You have waited too long already.
