QuestionHello,
I have 4 children ages 2-8 yrs. I have always had regular menstrual cycles and I haven't had any problems getting pregnant. I breastfed all of my babies...when I started menstruating again after my last baby (baby was 11 months old) my periods have been strange. About three days of spotting before period and I would also have spotting in between my period. The spotting in between period usually is in the follicular phase of my cycle and it lasts about 2-3 days with it seems like EWCM. Then my CM dries up for a day or two and I slowly start to get EWCM again and then I notice a rise in my BBT that shows I have ovulated. My temperature rise is not very much initially it's about .2 degrees and then it continues to rise. My Cycle overall has gotten shorter. Used to be 29 days, now 25 days with 10-12 day LP. Is it weak Ovulation? What could cause my symptoms and what would help? Would like to have another baby. Thanks.
AnswerHello Michelle from the U.S.,
It is possible that you have developed a luteal phase defect. To treat this, you would either need to undergo ovulation induction or add supplemental progesterone. Prior to either of these, you would need to have an evaluation done to be sure that is the problem.
