Early Period: Causes, Pregnancy & What to Expect

Question
Do my mestral cylc came a week early. I was looking on the net and i read that this could be a sign of pregnacy or a normal factor some woman experican. I'm usual regular my "men" is usal old long every 40 days, but it happens on the day i'm expecting. It has never came early and i'm not on birth control (beside a condom). I have also been eating alot more healthy latly could that be a factor? I just want to make sure what i'm reading is correct and that maybe i should take a pregncy test to be sure. Me and my fiacne are not trying to have a child yet but you never know what surprises could happen.

Hello Stacy from Canada,

40 day menstrual cycles are not normal.  That is a sign of an ovarian dysfunction.  If you had a period in 28-30 days instead, that is more normal and the bleed could have just been a normal menses from a normal cycle.  Certainly, you can easily check a pregnancy test if you wish.  I don't think that is what it is.  I think that your cycle/ovaries just worked normally this time.
