QuestionAm in south africa I started on first cycle of clomid 100mg and am now 6 days late I have monitored my period for a year and my cycle length is 24 have never missed I have abdominal pains like am period pains I go to the toilet to pee every 20 minutes I did a home pregnancy test on day 4 and it was negative. Could I be pregnant or clomid has lengthened my periods.
AnswerHello Deli Nkambule from South Africa,
If you have not had a blood pregnancy test, that is what I would recommend that you do first. If it is negative, then you should be given progesterone for 5 days to induce a period. I cannot explain why you have missed this period. It is not a usual side effect of Clomid. Once possibility is that you did not ovulate and have a retained cyst, and that is preventing onset of the period. Your doctor should do an ultrasound to check that out.
