Understanding FSH, Estradiol, LH, and Progesterone Test Results

Question
my FSH value is 4.2

estrone 90

estrodol serum - 66

LH - 9.8

PROGESTERONE - O.5

Answer
Hello Lindsey from the U.S.(New York),

The values are all normal but interpretation is dependent on when in the cycle they were done.  In order to interpret the FSH, LH, Estradiol, they needed to have been done on the 2nd or 3rd day of the cycle.  On the other hand, the progesterone is usually done on the 21st day of the cycle.

From a fertility point of view, the cycle day #2 or 3 FSH level should be less than 7.0.  An estradiol less than 100 is an indicator that this is the right time in the cycle i.e. the point where the level should be at its lowest.  A cycle day #21 progesterone should be greater than or equal to 10 indicating that ovulation occurred.

Good Luck,
