QuestionI have been a serious jogger for 32 years. My question:
What is the immediate normal effect of running and blood pressure? Should your pressure be higher the few minutes immediately after running? If so for how long and to what degree? Should the presure then drop? If so to what extent and for how long? Finally if pressur is even lowerimmediately after running what could this be a sign of if there are no other symptoms but the weathe was extremely hot (90+)Incidentally I do take 20mg of lisinopril for marginally high (but now controlled for 8 years) blood pressure. Thanks so much
AnswerWhat is the immediate normal effect of running and blood pressure? Should your pressure be higher the few minutes immediately after running? Yes, for at least 15-30 minutes
If so for how long and to what degree? 20 points or so
Should the presure then drop? Yes
If so to what extent and for how long? to your normal level
Finally if pressur is even lowerimmediately after running what could this be a sign of if there are no other symptoms but the weathe was extremely hot (90+)Incidentally I do take 20mg of lisinopril for marginally high (but now controlled for 8 years) blood pressure.
This is from your med and dehydration most likely
