Hand Tingling & Wrist Discomfort: Causes & Potential Concerns
QuestionHello Doc.
My question last time was about my chest, this time I want to talk about my hands. Im 19 years old, in good general health, but still smoking, like 2-3 cigarettes a day now because its the summertime. Recently I've noticed that sometimes my hands have a tingliy feeling for no apparent reason, and that tingly feeling sometimes extends to my wrists. It happens sometimes after i smoke, but not every time. I also will get an occasional headache after i smoke. Is this something i should be concerned about or are these just normal side effects of smoking? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

No, it sounds like a neuropathy. Quitting smoking may help but not cure it. Try high potency B complex in the morning and at dinner if OK with your doctor. OK?
