Germs and Shared Items: Understanding Potential Risks & Hygiene

Question
Hello, I am a bit paranoid on germs.  Recently we had a female guest in our house. She has been gone about two weeks or so.
Today I used some of my "female" cream that I use for irritation, I squirted the first bit out and wiped it on tissue before using it.
My question is, for some reason if the girl that was at my house used it, (I don't know why she would of, but let's just assume)could I catch anything?  Now that I have used it I am worried.
Also, if you get a hair cut and they nick your year can you catch anything?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi,
My guess is that unless she "double dipped" you won't catch anything. Even if she did, it's very unlikely. Had you thought of calling her and asking her what she used it for? That might settle the issue.
As for catching anything from getting a nick during a haicut, if the scissors were clean, not likely to catch anything.
Have you looked into why you are so soncerned about germs? It's OK to be clean and avoid problems but to be concerned to the point of being "paranoid", to use your word, is a bit excessive. Do you have any other compulsive or obsessive tendencies?
