Cellulitis After Piercing: A Parent's Experience and Recovery

my dau had a piercing (old one) lip started to swell and running a fever. went to the er and had to have 3 small incensions in the inside of her upper lip and the piercing was pulled through the cuts that were made.  She was running a temp 101.8 she was given Keflex and PNC.  diag.  was cellulitis took all meds while taking the meds her baby toes nails fell off. now her baby toes are black went back to the doctor today and was told she still had the infection and was given sulfa and something else she is at away at colleg attend U Of K this is where she has been getting treated.  there was no blood work done at either visit should there have been?  and does this infection cause your toes to this.

I am worried too, about a lip infection that is that bad.... I would wonder whether there is another infection, because a lip infection should not cause all those symptoms.... I would have her go back to the ER right away for a more in depth evaluation......
