QuestionI know I am not supposed to ask "symtom questions", but I was wandering if you could help.
I am 27 years old and have a child of 16 months.
For quite a while now I have been having bulging in my lower abdomen/intestine. It happens when I lie down. It feels like a baby moving inside and you can see it pop up move slightly and then dissappear again.
Recently in the last week I have been having the feeling of mild menstration cramps.
I also have been having lots of mucus like discharge from the vagina. I know it often happens when you have a coil fitted, but i seem to be getting more and more.
Could any of this be related?
Thank you for your help and time
Caroline
AnswerBulging in the lower abdomen suggests that you might have a hernia, meaning a defect in the abdominal muscle wall and the guts tend to poke out through. Or could be a pelvic mass, like an enlarged ovary. Some people can have an enlarged uterus or ovary and it hides very well, except in certain positions. I don't see a relationship between the other symptoms, but it is worthwhile mentioning it to your doctor next time you have a pap smear/physical.
Hope this helps...
