Tongue Sensations After Zoloft Dose Increase: Causes & What to Do

Question
This may sound strange, but lately I have been getting strange sensation in my tongue. Its not numbness or swelling.  Its occaisionally not constant.  I recently raised the dose of my zoloft and wondered if that could be the cause.  Any thoughts.

Thank you

Answer
Hi Kim,
Zoloft and it's cousins, can alter neurologic sensations. If you just started the drug, it will most likely pass. If you've been on the drug for a while and this sensation is a problem talk to your healthcare provider about switching to another medication.
