Understanding Low RBC: What Your Red Blood Cell Count Means

Hi Doctor Aukerman,
My blood test result shows one item in the "Out of
range" column:
CBC W/ Diff & PLT
RBC           4.15  low    (4.20 - 5.80)
Could you kindly explain for me the meaning of RBC
item.

This means your red blood cell count per measure of blood, usually a good indicator you bone marrrow is not making blood or you are losing blood usually from the bowel or stomach. In men, we take these very seriously and try to find out what is the cause and treat that cause.
