Lung Spots & Muscle Weakness: Potential Causes & Concerns

Question
I am 28 years old, in failry poor health(gallbladder, pancreatic and GI issues), recently my doctor told me I have spots on my lungs, I am going to see a specialist, but am EXTREMELY concerned about hearing the "C" word.  I have spent HOURS online researching this and don't have any symptoms of the "C" word listed, what else could it be?
Also...for the past few months my arms and legs have had tendencies to fall asleep for little to no reason.  For instance, if I put my arm over my head too long or cross my legs, what could be causing this?
Is there any chance the two are related?
Thank you SO much in advance for your insight.

Answer
spots on the lungs in a 28 year old are not cancer.... they may be infectious, may be inflammatory (sarcoidosis) but it is incredibly unlikely to be cancer.

The arm/leg thing... if it were one arm specifically or one leg, I might call it pinched nerve.... happening in all extremities.... I am not sure, but I would evaluate that with an ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate , or sed rate) and possibly an MRI of the head.... but, those symptoms can be from many many disorders and it may take time to tell if this is a serious problem or simply an annoyance.

Hope this helps.....
