Octreotide Dosage Conversion: Finding the Right Units for Your Injection

Question
We  are using our insulin syringe to injest octreotide.  The pharmacy did not convert the loo mcg into units for us.  Can you tell me the proper dosage?

Answer
that is not an easy question because there are multiple strengths of this medication.... it comes in 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 micrograms per milliliter.  I don't know how many micrograms (ug or mcg) per dose.  I will need the exact dose and the exact strength of the oct that you are taking.
