Low Semen Volume at 69: Causes & What to Expect
QuestionI am 69 years old and I only have a very small volumne of clear semem upon ejaculation. My PSA count has been consistently low for several years. Is the amount of semen something to be concerned about? Thank you.
AnswerHi David,
Not really. This happens with aging and a lower production of seminal fluid. Another thing that can make the volume lower is dehydration. If you aren't drinking enough water either by choice or by design (heart issues) that will lower production as well. As we grow older we lose our taste for water and stay relatively dehydrated all the time--not good.
